It is such a large kayak surface wise,(a lot of room for movement} i think i would glue the joints. I would like to try the E.M. method of glassing inside first then overlapping the seam to avoid the taping of the outside seam. The weight on this one can really add up quick be careful with that aspect. Seat placement is tricky if the male weights a lot more. best rh
