So good judgment comes from bad judgment?

No, good judgement comes from experience, you can't skip a step.

Experience is a process of mistakes (viewed as unplanned learning opportunities), the tenacity to keep going and reaching the point of the willingness / wisdom to learn from other's experience rather than reinvent the wheel.

Good judgement is the humility to realize you will never stop making mistakes, but you have the skills to fix them and the hunger to keep learning the unending levels of the magic of making.
