Thanks. I assume the diagonal but joints, where the background cedar strips butt against the maple would be done the same way. It does seem that it would be easy to tilt the plane slightly when tapering the white strips, such that there would be a gap between the strips. Since they would not have a cove and bead. Any tips on avoiding this?
