i am building my first strip built, a night heron.

i am in the process of final sanding of the hull prior to staining...and then glassing.

so no epoxy has been used to this point in time.

i have a couple areas where i have gaps between the strips that are larger than what i would expect the glassing to fill. Between 1/16 and 3/32 inch in width.

i wanted to ask if..... other than sawdust/epoxy.....is there any other aproach to filling these gaps that will 1) work well with stain and 2) minimizes the liklihood of the gaps being seen.

the stain colour is a dark-brown/reddish. i am working in an unheated garage so am trying to hold off on epoxy until i am actually doing significant work.
