I would recommend before using filler, you should try to fill the gaps with thin slices of matching wood cedar strips. After fiberglass and epoxy you won't see the gaps. Furthermore, if you have just a small gap due an off angle cut, go ahead and stuff the gap with a splinter of matching wood. Good luck!
