This dang eternal winter!!! My attached garage is still too cold at night for even wood glue to dry properly. I'm in the south what the heck.. I think I may just tick the wife off, build the box beam in a couple pieces and set it on the dining room table to dry (plastic and towels to protect the table of course!)

First question: What wood for internal stems, and whats the final thickness?

I've seen a couple things about cutting down to 1/8 to make bending easier, etc. Never how many strips to use though!! Admittedly I may have just missed the info, but after thirty minutes of digging... I'll just ask :)
