Yes I do the hull first then after that's set up do the deck. Easier to trim the edge of the deck if the hull's glass is set up hard.

You can use whatever works on the glass. I use a roller primarily because it's fast, a brush helps on edges, some prefer a squeegee. Everyone has their own way I guess.

You'll want the seal coat dry first, otherwise getting the fabric to lay on the hull smoothly is nearly impossible. I use spring clips to hold it in place as it will want to shift on you as you're putting on the epoxy and it's easy to have it slide off to one side or the other while you're working.

One layer of glass on the hull and the deck doesn't take much time, no worries about getting it done before the bugs come out.
