1/16th inch for easy bending??? Can I do it with 1/8 if so what wood?
How many ply are we talking? Do i need 1/2 total? More? Less?

Use the thickest that will make the bend, and as many as you need - most of the guys seem to use 3/4" as I did. Pine bends easier than cedar so lams can be thicker and fewer. Don't rush the wood around the bend and it will be less likely to break, take your time and don't sweat it . . .
