Epoxy: Sanding a fully cured seal coat????

I am very slowly working on my CLC kit--an Arctic Hawk.
Very soon I hope to be glassing the exterior of the hull/deck.
On the front deck I have done a sealer coat which has had more than ample time to cure--
What grade sandpaper would give me the best mechanical bond and not risk going completely through the seal coat??

Is finer better vs very lightly sanding using a rougher grade sandpaper?? I am not opposed to hand sanding this area as it is fairly small and flows nicely without sharp edges. It also is the part of the boat I hope to see the most of when I am paddling.

thanks for all the help over the.....................(time period redacted to minimize the shame of a very slow build).

(Too bad we can't figure out how to share our climates as we do building tips. I am in the So. CA, too dry and nice and warm. Others of you are dealing with freezing temps and or flooding. Be nice to Mother Nature she can get mean if ticked off. But she does have some wonderful surprises in her realm as well.

Best spring ever to everyone--John
