So to summarize the order of steps, I believe I will scrape glue, hand plane any small ridges selectively, and use a flexible sanding board (1/4 in ply with a sanding belt glued on) to smooth any irregularities while respecting the underlying basically fair curves of the strips. I will the random orbit sand but only with 120 grit, so no major stock removal.
Next I will turn the whole thing over and strip the deck partially, but before losing internal access will mark the position of the stations and knock them loose, but them re-position them and reattach them with minimal (one dot) hot glue. After finishing the deck strips I will separate the hull from the deck, leaving the deck attached to the forms. I will then sand the deck, then glass the exterior of the hull and the exterior of the deck separately. Then scrape and sand the interior of the hull and deck. Them glass the interior of the hull and deck. Sound right?
