Sorry to push for more details but what volume of material are you pouring in? If you do the hull separated from the deck and don't tip it on end,how do you get the epoxy to reach the tip of the hull which is swept upward? Also I would have no idea what type of foam to use or how to dissolve it. What are the pros and cons of leaving a bulkhead in place? I thought you want a compartment with air for flotation in the event you swamp. Thanks.

Since the hull is not attached you can build a temporary barrier to make your epoxy pour. Anything that epoxy won't stick to would work. You need it to be large enough to support the hole for the grab loop. If you look at the pictures Nick posted here: http://bit.ly/1fkU1yp
Then you can see the process. This isn't a typical bulkhead, this is just a small barrier to help shape the epoxy block. If you use mini cell foam instead of a scrap piece of plastic, then you could leave it, but why?
