No races yet due to Petra's birth last year, and buying a home built in 1836 this year which I am now restoring. Moving has been a pain. Brad at Wood Surfboard Supply said I needed to write a build manual since it is so different from the other boards they sell. I changed a few things during the build, such as number of ribs and spacing (deck was too flimsy with paulownia) so another build is in order before a manual can be completed. I am committed to teaching some local youth boatbuilding with a S&G Night Herron. (By the way, Nick, that will be soon. The house caused a delay in that too.)

The Bullet makes a great sit on top kayak if you sit on the flat deck. I sometimes paddle her that way. She is a fast SUP but thanks to a horrible job glassine the inside, which didn't really even have to be glassed, she came out heavier than I wanted. These SUP guys are so anal about weight. If you think kayakers are, you should see these guys. I regret glassing inside but was planning to use this one to get lobsters and was going to put a hatch in the foredeck. I wanted the inside glassed. I should have built the prototype as race only since that is the idea of the design.

All that said, the lines are sweet, and the stern did as hoped- leaving a clean exit so other paddlers cannot draft you. I also did prove that a full "V" hull shape will work with a SUP.
