Almost done stripping the deck, and realized I would need a few more strips, so... I went to home depot and got some more clear cedar boards. This is where I got the wood to strip the entire kayak, and don't know a lot about woods to begin with so I picked boards by color and grain, and got some good wood to work with, at least I thought I did. My most recent trip to home depot the boards I got were a bit darker, which is fine, but they were really light (weight)! Once I cut the strips and started working with these boards... my life became much better. I could not believe how much easier it is to work this light, apparently well dried wood. Cutting coves with a file now takes 1 minute, instead of fifteen..lol I guess I will just be smarter on my next build... have learned so much just going for it, and from reading here of course. Thanks all!
