Just had an idea for sealing the pinhole bubbles. I always seem to get a few, no matter what I do, to control heat in my shop.
Heat up the wood in the area with a heat gun to about 50 degrees above shop temperature. This will have to be done very carefully with a low heat setting or holding the gun quite far away from the surface. I have one of those infrared thermometers to facilitate and control the heating. Remove the heat and wait a few seconds for the heat to saturate the thickness of wood. Then place a dot of thin cyanoacrylate on the pinhole and let it cool and set. Sand.
Just thought of the idea, and have not tried it yet.
