There's an article on the West website on how to make soft padeyes. Near the end they do some testing with gluing the padeyes on and seeing how much strain they can take. Unfortunately three is no reference to how the heat of the sun can affect the strength of the bond.

They may glue to the deck well, but they certainly look like a good way to have the line fail from chafe...
