Am I being a perfectionist and am I okay if it is slightly off.
If off now won't the strips exagerrate the curve int he strongback

Hi Pat,
The strong back need not be straight,as long as the dam thing remains stable.
You will set up the forms based on a string line,probably using rocker data.Your roving eye will also help.
If you know it's bent you can allow for it as long as it doesn't move during the initial construction.The strips,when added, will also contribute to a rigid structure.
