It's a beaut, but is a retractable skeg a good thing in ice and wind? I would imagine you'd want to forget about rolling with a heavily loaded boat and accentuate agility. Maybe avoid excess deadrise too for that occasional trip up the edge of an unseen floe, although that long bow would give you more time to react than my kayak does. Just my thoughts on the matter; I've paddled in ice and taken an odd accidental floe ride - nice to have studs on the paddle blades :) - but no ocean experience.
