The explorer I have would be on the small side for me for touring, it might be a low volume variant though, I'm not sure. For myself I would take one of my baidarkas.

For a really comfortable couple of weeks (if there is such a thing) I would take the NIMROD II, pictured below. My first strip boat, built a couple of decades ago, but it still gets quite a bit of use. I don't know what happened to the designer (Daryl Graves), he may have gone to the happy kayaking place. Too bad he was active before the Internet.

The nimrod these days if fully decked out, and with bulkheads, etc.
