Just a question to the group about attaching deck to hull. I have decided to use the hot gluing the fiberglass tape in, then saturate in place method. Seems to be the easiest and least messy of the options. Something I had contemplated even before reading about it, so it must be a good idea..lol. The question I have is: How much overlap/gap is acceptable. I have some overlap/gaps of 1-2 mm at the sheerline, and figured I could sand these before taping the outside. Is this acceptable, or should I try and totally get rid of these small gaps. First kayak, so not really sure, but I know sandpaper and glass have covered up a lot of mistakes already, so hoping this will work.
