Snugness seems to be good. It keeps the blade in position.I have, at times ,greased the cable for real smooth operation.Order of assembly : install skeg box, install control box. run tubing between them, attach cable to skeg, feed cable into skeg box and into tubing, run cble into control box, into control knob ,tighten set screw , adjust. Don't make the skeg box to tight,you don't want added resistance at this end.
