Suggestions for possible materials to house the cable. The cable runs through the skeg blade and has a collar with a set screw on both sides of the "tab" of the blade.

I have done several skegs and a good combination is the 1x19 cable which measures around .100 in. Plus a housing of 1/4" truck brake line which has an inside measurement of around .150 in.

By design my cable comes into the side of the blade and fits in a supporting groove in the blade when deployed, so kinking is never a problem.
