System Three Silvertip epoxy is great for epoxy virgins, almost can't screw it up. Have used it on several projects in past, but my first kayak, and it has served me well. I lived in PNW, and it is great for the temperate wet weather up here, and working in my garage have very poor control of temperature, other than the time of day I use it. It is supposed to be more expensive, but I have compared to a few others, and difference seems to be pretty negligible.
