I am having trouble finding information on this, I am surprised it isn't more common. Today, while hiking near a local river I spotted a kayak in the middle of the river, wrapped around a fallen tree. As far as damage, one of the "compartment covers" was lost, and the kayak was, well, folded in half. The portion for about a foot or so to the rear of the seat of the kayak is quite crushed and the points of the folds on either side have formed small holes, no bigger than the head of a thumbtack. How should I recover it? My thought was to try and unfold it, by prying out the walls, then patching the holes. Any tips? Is this doable? The kayak is a Dagger Magellan and appears to be made of plastic. Thanks for your help.
