Confusion would be an understatement... spar varnish, varnish, urethane, polyurethane, Captains, Glaspar, oil base, water base, one part, two parts.... what's confusing about that..lol Gonna just have to go with the System Three spar varnish and see what happens. I have learned some hard lessons on this build and my finish right now looks like 'rough seas'... runs and drips, scrape and and sand.. more epoxy.. more runs... I am learning I think.. but it has been painful the past couple weeks. Weather is really nice right now, so been pressing a bit to get kayak in the water, so may have to accept a few ripples, guess I can always go back and sand some more after I get her wet!
