I believe I've used a 1/16 in the past with success. Like I said, this was never an issue with the Bomars on the Black Pearl. I am just happy to be having this issue. LOL.

I raised the level of the stock rings using bike inner tubes (as explained in my blog entry "Bending the Bomars" but it never worked as wel, as the new foam setup. Fingers crossed that this will work out better.

I've been paddlng the Pearl on some nice hot sunny days but the coldness of the water keeps the inside temps nice and comfy.
