I did not realize the rudder lines were fixed at the forward bulkhead and ran through an "S" pattern in the peddles. I have the stellar set up under the deck of my Yukon and tied them off with a bowline. I have to retie at the rudder if I need to adjust. Pain....
This explains the heavy rubber grommets on the footboard. They get the grip on the line as it passes through.
I did have to cut the corners of the footboard to fit it under the deck. I am thinking I could re- string and go through my foam forward bulkhead and use some wood washers with a small SS washer. Seems there would not be any real tension on it?
