I have used rustoleum with great success. It will need to cure properly, 30 days, you can paddle sooner and it will still cure. Bang it up, its easy to touch up, recoating is easy, tape off whatever pattern you might want and spray or brush away. I always use a brush to avoid overspray issues. A light sanding with fine paper sets the surface for a nice sticky layer of color
