My current project is getting Rustoleum Marine Topsides paint. It's $14/qt. Most box stores whose name starts with M and feature green as their representative color carry it. According to the tech line it's the same as their regular stuff, except it has more UV blockers and color stabilizers. Regular Rustoleum was originally designed as a marine paint. As long as you're not storing the boat outside regular Rustoleum is probably fine. Easy on, good results IF YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY, and easy to source more for repairs.

Don't use spray- no matter how tempted you are- to get the same film thickness would take way way way way too many cans. You'd much better off with a roller and brush, or if you must spray, use that paint and an airless paint sprayer.

I know of people in Norway who paint with Rustoleum-type products, let it cure thoroughly for 30-45 days, than cover it with a coat of Coelan Marine Coating, which is incredible stuff but runs around $100/qt.

Mine is to have a navy hull with a pink deck and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stickers. I nixed the pink ghost flames on top of that for now due to time constraints...
