I ,also was concerned about the polyester and I used kitchen wrap to control the mess on my fingers and then,when cured I bias cut glassed over the mounds for piece of mind.I also coated the tube walls with epoxy using a cotton wool stick to make sure that was controlled.I liked the quick cure bondo as it got the job done in one day.
