The kayak looks awesome, Scott. Nothing wrong with a little more storage space...Ken kept lusting after my storage space during our Winnipeg River trip. His baidarka is lacking because he went with a lower volume deck. My Lightning 17 has tons of storage and during trips, I always use it up. More room for Guinness as well although I took no Guinness during that trip. I am looking to change up the seat in the Lightning so that Shannon, my main squeeze, can enjoy the VJ more. Her legs are longer, the seat is currently glued into one position only for me. I may change the back rest for her so that her chronic back issues are relieved. I am also going to remove my camera holder from under the deck, mount wood strips to create grooves and modify the camera holder so that it slides in along the grooves when I want it in and remove it when Shannon is using it. It scrapes her legs when she tries to climb in so she will appreciate paddling more. For now, we are into canoeing.
