Pretty boat Paul, they are all going to ask, what woods did you use?
Mostly recycled from beams taken from a classic pergola ,pulled down and replaced with some treated pine.My gain, and for free!I selected the lightest (mass)boards.Also, Cypress ,which I payed for,for the yellow stuff.Kauri from an old weatherboard for the face plate of my glove box with old woodworm lines for good measure.Included as a nod to the past.Kauri was the wood of choice for our boat building in NZ ,it is golden and not milled any more here.
