Thanks very much for sharing.

It so happens that I've got a 1" half round router blade I bought for some project long ago. Looks like I have another use for it for the control box. I had considered using threaded brass nipples at each end of the control box to connect the tubing but see you simply inserted the tubing into the box. I like your approach as it is simpler...

Now, to find some nylon rod.......
