Sounds like your epoxy mixture was too thin. I doubt very much leaked underneath the release film, but even a little would be enough to glue the hatch down. I would guess you should be able to go around the hatch from the outside with an utility knife gently until you just cut through the leaked epoxy and make contact with the release film. Then the hatch should pop free and hopefully still be very usable.
