You can paint it. I'd recommend a light color. Fellow down here has a gooped, painted sof. From a little distance it looks like a composite yak, with its whit hull and yellow deck. The paint will chip and crack, and you touch it up, but it'll be better. I did not do well with tinting goop with dry pigments either.
