Not sure I understand the function of that straight black piece of ? Coax which you have taped down under the loop of tubing. It seems smaller than the radius of the loop of tubing so wouldn't affect kinking. Also on the external hatch hold down I assume you are using an elastic bungee cord material - yes? And the two holes in the hatch appear to be 3-4 inches apart. Is there a Maroske connection between those two holes?

That bit of black rubber is from a ring washer. It is just to leave a hole at the base of that particular blob. I thread a length of string through it so I can tether the hatch, which has a similar attachment point. My normal hatches don't need tethering though. Just these ones did.

Yes, there is a Maroske connection between the holes in the hatch. They are held down with bungie.
