With the 8 oz fabric I have found it takes 3 coats of Rustoleum, rolled on in moderately heavy coats to seal the weave. Two coats always leaves pin holes.
The 11.7 oz 'I think' will only need 2 coats. The weave is so tight that don't think the 3rd coat is really needed. I just applied it out of habit. But I plan on trying just two coats on the next one.
