In Response To: Skin-on-Frame: Canoe methods (MattGeerts)
I feel the answer is no, but...
Can I just take the 2" spacing horizontal offset numbers from a canoe and design frames that would hold horizontal longitudinal stringers? I see that in Yost's designs the stringers follow an angled curve, not a horizontal one. That would give them strength directly against the in-ward pull of the skin, which seems advantageous over horizontally bent stringers.
If that seems feasible then I'm going to fire up my CAD program and have at it - easy peasy.
