It's been awhile since I posted but most of my questions have been answered by posts in the archives. What a great resource this site is for the kayak building community. I do have a question though that I haven't been able to find answered here. I know that boat building as a hobby is all about scratch building and the idea of taking a plank of wood and converting it into a floating work of art is an esoteric experience that is a best kept secret for most people. But at the "end of the day" I really want to finish the project and get out paddling. Enough of the rented kayaks already.
So my question is; does anyone know of a company that sells prefabricated maroske fittings? I'm getting to the point of joining the deck to the hull and might be able to finish her before the winter. Making these fittings would add extra time to the build and fall paddling can be amazing which I don't want to do in a renter if possible.
