Tonight I went out with the intention of tacking the hull seams and then the deck seams, and finally stitching the two parts together again so they can set.

First, I relocated my epoxy components to a more accessible surface between the hull and deck, and got everything necessary for the operation organized.

I started in the bow,which was a bit tricky given the sharp angle there, and then worked my way back. Here is a shot of the cockpit - the tack line isn't the prettiest, but i found it hard to get the syringe to work consistently in laying down a line of epoxy. The tiniest increase in pressure seemed to result in a blob coming out, which I would then spread down the seam with my fingertip. I'm not too worried about these lines, as they will be covered by the fillets, which will have a much thicker consistency and will be spread with a rounded fillet smoother.

After completing the tack lines, I went back and covered the rim of the hull, and the tops of the bulkheads and temporary forms, with blue painters tape so that the pieces wouldn't bond due to runs in the epoxy after the hull was stitched back together.

Once the deck was placed on the hull, I stitched every fourth hole, making sure also to tighten up the four corners where the very slim points of the shear panels meet the hull, and then tightened up the gaps with stretch wrap. This seemed to work pretty nicely, although the points on the copper wire easily tore the wrap.

The hull lined up pretty nicely - there were a couple of spots where I had to pry the hull out from under the deck, as well as some tweaking of the deck joints with the shear panels. I don't think it's anything that can't be cleaned up with a bit of thick epoxy/wood powder mix and some careful sanding.

Tomorrow night, I'll take it apart again and work on filleting the hull and laying down the cockpit glass.
