Hey gang, just wanted to peek in, say hello and introduce myself. I just moved to the middlesex area in Massachusetts, and after 2 years of tending and tweaking to the new/old house, I've decided it's time to get started on those dream projects.

I've purchased a set of plans for a 16' kayak, and am going through the motions now of starting my build. I'm targeting next April (birthday present for my wife) for the completion of the first boat (every project needs a deadline right?)...I spent the better part of last week clearing up an area in the basement to set up shop, and once that's done, I can start setting up the strong back...but there's a lot of other prep work to do first. I have to build a bunch of tools and jigs etc...

I'm using the time in between to watch every video on Youtube and read every book on Amazon just to get a lay of the options available to me, and forecast as many gotchas as I can. One thing I'm having trouble finding and I'm hoping you fine gentlemen can help me with is...I'm looking for blogs of other builders that documented their builds. I've done a little light searching but the hits range from cursory to nonexistant with a few gems in between. So I'm hoping a few of you might have bookmarked a few interested reads out on the internet to help a new builder out.

I'm already up to speed on all the different construction methods from different books, now I just want to read up on people's experiences...
