I'm jumping ahead a little now as I haven't remembered to take my camera out to the shop with me. Tonight I put the first fill coat of epoxy on the hull, and I think I'm going to end up adding two more as I'll have to sand down the frayed edges of the fiberglass sheets that doubled up the bottom and the third layer at the bow and stern. Even though I had cut neatly with sharp scissors, the edge seemed to fray when I spread the first coat of epoxy. I'm hoping this will come out with the 80 grit sanding.

So, it's pretty clear that I can look forward to at least a couple of sanding marathons...

I am pleased, in any case, with how the detail of the panel joints comes through.

I'm open and welcoming to any suggestions on how best to deal with the frayed edges.
