Strip: order of ops

Forum,

I have a sequence of operation question. Let me first say where the yak is:

- Deck
Glassed inside and out (need a second coat of epoxy to seal the inside).
I haven't made the cockpit cutout just yet since I'm using the Rob coaming method(veneer style). I just finished the laminations so I'm ready to make the cutout.
No hatch cutouts are made at this point.
- Hull
Glassed inside and out with an extra coat of epoxy both sides

I have all the laminated pieces for the coaming made. I plan on cutting out the cockpit (roughly) per the laminations next.

Based on that summary I would guess the following:

1) Rough out the cockpit cutout
2) Make the front and rear hatch cutouts
3) Seam the deck to the hull
4) continue with finishing the hatches

Is this correct? I'm afraid of building up the cockpit too much (laminations and glassing) since this will stiffen the deck.

Thoughts?
