* wood purchased for the strong back...I couldn't find 1/2" cdx so I picked up 7/16ths, along with some OSB for the internal boards, few quick rip sessions and I should be in business.

* cedars resting comfortably in the basement

* stanley trim plane arrived today (thank you to whomever suggested that)...came in pretty sharp out of the box but will touch it up on the wheel. I'll see how far this takes me then decide whether or not to splurge on an apron plane

* picked up a pack of 25 sanding disks in preparation of the station form sandathon.

* picked up a range of spring clips from harbor freight - I'm testing them out to see which to buy in bulk, but so far so good there

For the station forms. I'm looking at the CDX I purchased from HD, and the internals are awful. I have some furniture grade plywood 1/2" left over from other projects and I'm thinking about just using that since the laminations are cleaner. I also have the OSB but I shudder to think how the edges wood look after a rip session.

Any opinions there on which wood you would use for the station forms? My manual says use the CDX but this stuff I have is crap.
