I haven't been very good about posting updates. Over the last few days, I've applied fill coats to the deck glass, cleaned up the hatches, and last night I installed the sill rims. This afternoon, I buttered up and applied the coaming layers and rim, following a visit to Lowe's to get a bunch more clamps. These will be useful for many a project, so it was a worthwhile expense.

I have also been working on some custom pieces for the deck bungie cords - I have made these from maple and will epoxy them and glue them down before I begin to apply the varnish.

I am also working on a paddle - the shaft will be cherry and the blade a lamination of maple, cherry and bubinga. The caps are maple. I created two book matched blades by resawing a 7/8" thick laminated blank.
