It looks to me like Et uses "Tygon" type plumbing tubing for his Maroskes. "Tygon used to be made from polyvinylchloride substrate softened with a plasticizer which was n-butyl thalate. You could soften the tubing with acetone and it would swell up to about 3 times its original volume but lose its tensile strength. HOWEVER, there were complaints about the bio-compatibility of thalates back in the 1990's, and so it is not used anymore. It still seems worth a try though. Put a length of your tubing in a glass jar with some acetone and see what it does. If it softens the tubing it will be a lot easier to get out if you already have a length of cord or rope threaded through it. Then soften it with acetone and use the cord as the abrasive to "grind" the tubing out. Do not use chloroform, methylene chloride, or brush cleaner, they will soften newly hardened epoxy.

All things considered, I have a feeling that drilling out/grinding and starting over is the best option. Wrapping your tubing in Teflon tape, will save you a ton of grief in the long run.
