I wouldn't normally put myself into Bill Hamm's category of 'folks who have money to burn', but my most recent purchase definitely qualifies. ("If not now, when?" was my excuse.... ;-) )

Mirka Ceros electric random orbital sander and the MV912 vacuum...IMO all the glowing online reviews are justified.

The abranet mesh discs - usable with any 'velcro' ROS - are worth a try by themselves, IMO. (Buy the 'pad protector' to save wear and tear on your sander pad.)

I have the hand sanding block and abranet strip abrasives on the way, and I'm curious to see if they improve my hand sanding experience the way the Ceros did for power sanding.
