I have all the Lee Valley guides and they're all a pain..... They work, but they're a pain!!!!
About a year ago I converted to the Paul Sellers method.....(you'll be amazed how easy this is)

Works for all my chisels and planes.
You can hand strop as Paul does but I use this with a leather belt for power stropping...

With the above equipment, all my planes and chisels are razor sharp, all the time. If they're not, a quick strop on the power strop and they're again razor sharp.....:)
