Jumping from 1200 grit straight to the strop is another thing you don't see very often; apparently it works.
You're right on that one.......I need one more stone after the 1200 grit. Probably the 8000 on this page.... http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=67660&cat=1,43072
I've made do and got mirror finishes by power stropping. Everyone needs a power strop.......!!!!
