Either you are confused or you have confused me. :)

I thought you were using 1/2" thick forms. Is that right? In that case, if the lines for forms 8 and 9 are 12" apart, since the two 1/2" forms sit inside those two lines, the gap should be reduced by 1" to become 11".

Thinking about gaps between forms is a good way to confuse yourself. Try concentrating on the idea that the outside edge of every form sits on the lines. That way you don't have to do any maths to work out the gap anywhere. It will be correct regardless of the thickness of your forms.
