Strip: Location of bulkheads and hatches

I am looking at starting on the hatches for my Guillemot L. Is there a standard or general agreement of where the bulkheads and hatches should be located.
What I understand from reviewing the forum is that the rear bulkhead is normally directly behind the seat and it seams there is various opinion as to where the hatch is best located - from 6 inch to half way to the rear.

With the front should the bulkhead be a certain distance from the feet?
